There are no translations available. Zavala je malo i mirno mjesto smješteno na južnoj strani otoka Hvara. Do Zavale se dolazi iz sela Pitve kroz uski dugi tunel probiven u živoj stijeni. Stari dio sela Zavale nalazi se u u unutrašnjosti zaštićen od pljačke i navale gusura koja je bila česta pojava davnih vremena. Brojne šljunčane plaže Zavale oplahuje kristalno čisto more. Zavala is a small and peaceful place situated on the south side of the island. It is reached by passing through the village of Pitve and then going through a narrow, lengthy tunnel carved through rock. The tunnel is controlled by traffic lights during the tourist season. The old part of Zavala was founded away from the sea, for protection against the marauders and pirates who used to plunder the area in olden times. Zavala offers many pebbly beaches lapped by the crystal clear sea. |
