Velo Grablje smjestilo se 11 km istočno od grada Hvara. Grablje je nakada bilo bogato mjesto radišnih ljudi koji su se dičili kvalitetnom proizvodnjom vina, meda i ulja te nadaleko poznatoma lavandom, danas Grablje broji svega nekoliko stanovnika. U ljetnim mjesecima cijelo je selo Grablje okruženo ljubičastim poljima lavande i oplahnuto zamamnim mirisom te je kao takvo zbilja jedinstven prizor kakao turistima tako i mještanima otoka.
Vela Grablje is 11km east of Hvar Town. Once, Grablje was a wealthy place of hardworking people who were known for their high quality wine, honey, olive oil, and were especially famed for their lavender. Now only a handful of people live there. During the summer months, Grablje is surrounded by purple lavender fields and bathed with their fragrant scent , making it a special place not only for tourists but also for the Hvar islanders themselves.
